Interesting to note that both Arctic Responders 2 & 6 have disappeared from the most recent, default Marine Traffic map of the area. Also interesting that their last-known locations can be found via a Google search; take the Marine Traffic link and click on Lat. Long. (map) to last known location. I guess because of their small size it's not mandatory that their AIS transponders be on.

they turn them off when the vessel's engines are off, is my hunch.
